Since the issue of the Submission version of the Dartmouth Neighbourhood Plan dated February 2022 and the Public Consultation process that was completed (Regulation 14) a considerable amount of work has been undertaken to incorporate the feedback from the community and from the statutory consultees, where it was appropriate.

The revised Neighbourhood Plan was approved by Dartmouth Town Council and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group under Regulation 15. This version was then subjected to the further consultation process (Regulation 16) undertaken by South Hams District Council.

All these process were duly completed and submitted to an Independent Examiner (Regulation 17).

The Examiner has completed her detailed examination to ensure that the Dartmouth Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements and processes having regard to national policy and guidance.

She has concluded that the Dartmouth Neighbourhood Plan subject to the recommended modifications (which have now been actioned ) can proceed to Referendum.
